Cataclean® is a catalytic converter cleaner that quickly burns off built-up carbon and reduces emissions by up to 60%.

It's ideal if you're concerned about the effects of your vehicle's emissions on the environment or if you believe your car may fail the MOT emissions test.

It is especially beneficial to cars which are subject to urban driving with lots of stopping and starting.

In fact, if you fail the emissions test after using Cataclean, we'll give you your money back!

"Does it work? In a word, YES!" (Car Mechanics Magazine review)

FAQs

Cataclean works by artificially raising the temperature inside the engine to burn off built-up carbon deposits, leaving your exhaust system cleaner and your car running smoothly.

It's especially good for those who tend to take shorter drives, such as trips round town or short hops to work. This is because running the engine for short periods doesn't allow it to heat up enough to burn off carbon.

Yes! Cataclean can reduce emissions by up to 60%, which is usually more than enough to pass the emissions test.

In fact, we're so confident in our catalytic converter cleaner that we'll give you your money back if you fail the emissions test after using Cataclean®!

Cataclean® won't help if your emissions problems are caused by faulty components or software failures. Our technicians can inspect your system to check for these faults.

Cataclean® can be used in both petrol and diesel engines of any capacity, but is not recommended for use with two stroke and non-injector (carburettor) engines.

Catalytic converter cleaning doesn't take long to carry out. You should allow around 15 minutes for our technicians to do the work. You'll start to feel the results after around half an hour of driving.

No. If any catalytic converter repairs are required, these will have to be carried out separately. We'll always advise you upfront of any catalytic converter repair or replacement costs.

Rolling Resistance(A-G)

E Grade – Below average fuel efficiency, however there may in some cases be a good reason why the rolling resistance is higher, for example where tyres are specifically designed for more grip, such as sports car tyres or winter tyres.

Wet Grip(A-G)

B Grade – Nearly the best quality tyres to stop in the wet, stopping only 3m more than a grade A tyre but on average 15m shorter than a car on grade G tyres (on a wet road when braking from 50mph – testing according to regulation EC1222/2009)

Sound Wave(1-3)

3 Bars – At least 3dB's above future EU noise limit (although meets current limit)

Noise(67-79 Db)

73 dB – Exterior noise level measured in decibels (dB). The lower the exterior noise level the better the environment near busy roads
