The Major Hybrid Service and MOT is our most comprehensive hybrid product, and covers parts that are regularly recommended for replacement every two years.

Our three levels of hybrid service are designed to meet the needs of all cars, whatever their condition.

Interim Service - 6 month vehicle service

This 6 month. This service includes an oil and filter change, top ups of essential fluids, as well as brake, steering and suspension checks (by removing the wheels).

Full Service - 12 month vehicle service

This is a comprehensive annual service for trouble free motoring. It exceeds most manufacturers' service schedules, and includes 81 checks and adjustments including an air filter change, a top up of brake fluid, power steering fluid and coolant. High quality parts are used and we check and record wear and tear items using a colour code reporting system, to give you peace of mind.

Major Service - 24 month vehicle service

This 24 month complete service covers all areas of essential maintenance. In addition to all the items included in our Interim and Full Services, the Major Service covers items that are regularly recommended for replacement every two years, including your cabin filter and brake hydraulic fluid.

In addition to all of the regular checks carried out as part of our Interim, Full and Major Services, Hybrid Servicing includes:

  • Diagnostic hybrid battery health check
  • Charging port and high voltage cables check
  • Inverter coolant check
  • Brake binding check

There are a few things you'll need to bring with you on the day, to make sure your Car Service goes smoothly:

Alloy wheel keys or locking nuts

As part of your Car Service, our technicians will need to remove your wheels to inspect the condition of your steering and suspension systems. Please bring your locking nuts with you, so that our team can carry out your Service without delay (we'll need to remove your wheels to do this).

An empty boot

Our technicians will inspect the condition and tread depth of your spare tyre, which is usually located under the boot of the car. Please empty your boot of luggage and other heavy items before you arrive at the Autocentre.

Your service book

We'll need to check when you last had certain items replaced, such as spark plugs, brake fluid and cabin filters. This information is stored in your service book - please bring it with you so that we have everything we need to properly assess your car on the day.

A V5C registration form (for your first MOT only)

If your vehicle is undergoing its first MOT then a V5C vehicle registration certificate (log book) is required, this document is also required if your vehicle has had a change of registration plate since its last MOT. In all other instances no documentation is required.


If your car fails its MOT, it must be repaired and retested. You may not legally be able to drive your car on the road until the repairs have been made and a certificate has been issued. Most repairs can be carried out onsite at the test centre on the same day, and we will always advise you upfront about any work that needs to be done.

Rolling Resistance(A-G)

E Grade – Below average fuel efficiency, however there may in some cases be a good reason why the rolling resistance is higher, for example where tyres are specifically designed for more grip, such as sports car tyres or winter tyres.

Wet Grip(A-G)

B Grade – Nearly the best quality tyres to stop in the wet, stopping only 3m more than a grade A tyre but on average 15m shorter than a car on grade G tyres (on a wet road when braking from 50mph – testing according to regulation EC1222/2009)

Sound Wave(1-3)

3 Bars – At least 3dB's above future EU noise limit (although meets current limit)

Noise(67-79 Db)

73 dB – Exterior noise level measured in decibels (dB). The lower the exterior noise level the better the environment near busy roads
